Demi is an experienced occupational therapist with a diverse background spanning paediatrics, stroke and rehabilitation, oncology, and neuro-oncology across both adult and paediatric populations. Since graduating, she has worked in a Sydney-based tertiary paediatric hospital, the private sector, and community settings, providing therapy to children and adults in clinical, school, and home environments.
Demi has extensive experience supporting individuals recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, and cancer treatment, focusing on functional rehabilitation, cognitive retraining, and improving quality of life. She also has a strong passion for working with neurodivergent individuals, tailoring therapy to support their unique strengths and challenges in everyday activities, learning, and social participation.
She is passionate about helping children reach their learning and developmental potential, using a play-based therapy approach that incorporates outdoor play, group games, and sensory-rich activities. She believes therapy should be engaging and enjoyable, fostering confidence, self-esteem, and skill development.
Outside of work, Demi enjoys dancing salsa, kizomba, and bachata, going for walks, and reading.
